Jalal brings over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with international specialized expertise in the energy and marine segments across the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. He has been with Chedid Re for more than a decade, having joined the company in 2014 as Senior Manager – Energy & Marine, and since taken on leadership roles as both Director and Senior Director of Energy, Marine & Specie. Prior to joining Chedid Re, Jalal served as the Regional Manager for Energy & Marine at Bahrain-based Trust Re, focusing on the CIS, Balkan, Russian, and Turkish markets.

Jalal holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Mathematics, from Carleton University in Canada. He has also completed an executive MBA program with ESA in Beirut and ESCP Europe in France, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London.
